Dear mother,
Today I sent the money to Richard through Hedwig, he said the picture will not come in time to send with it. Rudi will bring me the picture and I will supply two crates and pack well and send it next week. Father will come next week or will help bring it, write me how I should do it. I have not yet passed the test, [driver’s license] I’m supposed to take the test every day. Our car does not want to go,it is bewitched. I have already taken a test drive three times and each time there is always something again. I greet you and Gertrud warmly yours [Curt]
